Landlords across Northamptonshire and the East Midlands need to be aware of the new Government “Register your rental property” service.
Registration for the East Midlands is due to open on 15 February 2027, with landlords required to register by 14 May 2027.
The database will be mandatory for private landlords and will hold information about landlords, their rental properties and relevant compliance documentation.
The announced cost is £65 per property, per year.
What should landlords do?
Now is a good time to make sure your property records and compliance documents, including EPCs, Gas Safety Certificates and EICRs, are organised and up to date.
